Student Organizations

Graduate Students in the Department of Geography (GSDoGs)

 is a University-recognized organization that serves as the direct link between the graduate community and the department faculty and staff. They represent the graduate students at faculty meetings, organize and hold graduate student Town Hall meetings, and they work directly with department administration to address graduate student concerns.

Supporting Women in Geography (SWIG)

is an official, University-recognized organization largely made up of students within the Department of Geography. SWIG's mission is to promote the participation of women in the discipline of geography and to empower women who are pursuing academic and professional careers in geography.

Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU)

is an international honor society for geography. The principal aim of the society is to promote geography as a lifelong pursuit and to help geographers share their enthusiasm for the discipline with fellow members.
